Review on "THE WHITE TIGER" by Aravind Adiga

Image
A darkly funny and satirical investigation of Indian society, "The White Tiger" explores issues like class conflict, destitution, corruption, and the desire for upward social mobility. I enjoyed reading "The White Tiger" because it was a thoughtful investigation of the human condition and the social institutions that support injustice. STORY AND PLOT:  The story recounts the journey of Balram Halwai, a poor Indian villager who overcomes his difficult background to become a prosperous businessman. Balram describes his evolution from a timid servant to a clever and ruthless businessman through a series of letters he wrote to the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. Balram's vivid and frequently amusing descriptions provide readers a fresh perspective on the harsh realities of Indian culture while Adiga's storytelling style is captivating. CHARACTERIZATION : Adiga expertly creates his characters, giving them depth and complexity. The main character, Balram, is an intere...

"IMPACTS OF ELECTRIC CARS"

Image
Electric vehicles have grown in popularity because of their image as environmental beneficial, but it's vital to recognise that they have some environmental impacts as well. Despite the fact that it may seem contradictory, there are a few areas in which electric vehicles are worse for the environment than traditional hybrid vehicles. The process of extraction frequently results in severe environmental harm, such as deforestation, soil degradation, and water pollution. Since they contain dangerous components, these batteries are difficult to dispose away. Their disposal could result in pollution and harmful health impacts if it is improperly handled. Energy Generation:           Electric cars have zero tailpipe emissions, but the type of electricity they use affects how environmentally...

Personal Review of "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker.

Image
This wonderful book "The Colour Purple" by Alice Walker, captured me from the very first page. This book has unquestionably earned its status as a timeless classic due to its compelling storytelling and in-depth study of subjects like race, gender, and self-discovery. The story is told through the letters and diaries of Celie, a young African American lady, and takes place in early 20th-century rural Georgia. Walker takes us on an emotional journey by revealing the brutal reality of Celie's life, which was characterised by abuse, oppression, and societal discrimination, through her honest and genuine voice. The book does, however, also illuminate a beacon of resiliency and hope amid the darkness. Walker's ability to create intensely complicated and fascinating individuals is one of the novel's most striking features. It is extremely inspiring to see how Celie changed from being a quiet, humble person to a strong, independent lady. A spirit of self-discovery and em...
