KOLKATA -"THE CAPITAL OF WESTBENGAL"
Waah.. seriously I would say that Kolkata is one of the oldest historical city of India, We can actually wonder that, does people still care or make significant about 1 paisa and 10 paisa? but here everyone is valuing all those old belongings of our India. I guess "tram" is one of the greatest example of that, where Kolkata has the oldest operating electric tram in Asia. So herein let me take you to the tour of Kolkata in this COVID times!!! I just spent a whole day in a Tram just to look the beauty of this hustle bustle city, I can say that Tram is a super travel guide, where it takes you to every place of the city.. especially the shopping areas. "New Market" it is the biggest market in kolkata, where you can get variety of things. Whether it is household or stationary, clothings to cookery items, if you are really into street shopping this is the perfect place for you.. but this place is always crowded and not very posh place to purchase. There are many beautiful buildings out there in New market, it is a heritage place and this place obviously has a soul.

So, this is the best view that I can get from the apartment I stayed. Calcutta is the city of emotions, I mean it is a city where you can find emotions everywhere you go..and that's the "CITY OF JOY". It was one of the greatest tourists spot, every monuments has hundreds and hundreds of stories. The Howrah bridge, victorian palace, birla planetarium, science city..Oh my God I just can't wait to visit again,Every monument is obviously the "Pride of kolkata". The Howrah bridge is one of the busiest cantilever bridge and a most defining monument of kolkata. If you ever visit there, just don't miss the boat ride to view the eye catching beauty of Howrah and New bridge with the view of sunset. There is a boating that has live singing performance that was a very fun boating, it was like a "Party Boat".. Just don't miss the boatings. Then "The Victoria palace" it was like a second full marble Taj Mahal, this place is best and it is a beautiful spot to click all your photos.. There will be a band to entertain us through their upbeat music, basically fun and entertainment is guaranteed for every place you visit. I really have to mention the "Tandoori Pot Chai" that i had there, To be honest i only drank the chai for the classic clay pot that they serve..and i just felt, Oh My Goodness does anyone can make "CHAI" even better than this? basically i am not a Tea,coffee person but i can still remember the strong aroma taste of that full-flavoured "chai", just try it out without fail. Then "FOOD" is the major part of this city, just try every street food like Egg Rolls; chicken momos and soup; then the delicious jalebi it is the best bengali sweet, which is very crunchier and juicier that can make any foodaholic crave for savouring the sweets.

Now, let's talk about my favourite part the "SCIENCE CITY". It's a fun-filled science house, where you can see freshwater aquarium; Live butterfly enclave; Evolution park; Space odyssey, 3D vision theater it is totally imparted knowledge with fun activities. There is also a Rope way through which you can see the whole science city. It is a suitable place for every generation people, also has a planetarium and special shows. It has many optical illusions which is very interesting to watch, My favourite is Rabindranath Tagore's 3-D Image.. they just made it very carefully with every single piece of it, It was a total magical piece of work.. i just totally amused to see that perfect work. This place is a package of informative with lots and lots of fun. I can assure that Calcutta is one of the best historical tourist spot ever and there is lots of places which everyone should visit. The "Mother Teresa" house which is a monument and museum in the memorial of mother teresa, also "The Kolkata museum" which is the 9th largest museum in world and the largest museum in India, You need like a whole day to look after the whole amazing museum.

It has been almost 6 years since i visited Calcutta, but i would say that it is the best experience of my life.. I totally enjoyed the "City of Joy". The lights of the city and the hustling people are the bliss to the city, There is lots of history behind every monument and every place and the buildings it never changed from the beginning. All the architecture of the buildings are special, you can say it by seeing the "Writers building" it was one of the oldest building in India, also kolkata's "Town hall" building which has a very unique Roman-doric architectural style. I am totally obsessed with all the old edifices and the different culture of this city. I would say that there are so many things to apprise about kolkata which any visitor should see and do at kolkata. I just wanted to thank KOLKATA for creating such a lovable memory and also for the pleasantly surprised it gave me throughout the stay.
